About

Anne Fullerton has been an editor for over 10 years, working in various freelance capacities and at publishing houses around Toronto and Atlantic Canada.

With an English degree from The University of New Brunswick, Anne moved to Toronto to study through Ryerson’s publishing programme and pursue her passion for the written word. Her editorial work ranges from fiction to non-fiction and everything in between, including poetry, academic, and business editing.

At Mansfield Press, Anne played a key role in copy editing, proofreading, acquisitions, promotion, cover design, and grant application. In addition to proofreading for Random House Canada, she also reviewed manuscripts, transcribed, completed award submissions, and wrote cover copy and discussion guides, most notably for The Inconvenient Indian. She is also a substantive editor for Inhabit Media.

In the academic world, Anne was involved in copy editing, maintaining Chicago and MLA style, and formatting and proofreading marked up manuscripts for The University of Toronto Press, Fernwood Press, and Lorimer/Formac.

As a freelancer, Anne’s editorial specialties include website copy, corporate documents, business reports, memoirs, young adult titles, authoritative editions, self-published titles, and book to film analysis for production companies.

Some of her writing experience includes discussion guides, magazine articles, book reviews, and newspaper articles.
